I was playing on a server this evening with my friend. I was piloting a helicopter low to the ground and my friend jumped out of the helicopter. I was making a sharp turn and, not knowing that he was bailing out, clipped him with my rotor. This resulted in a team kill on my behalf.
Instantly after accidentally killing my friend, I was banned from the server by GGC-bans because of this offence. The ban reason was something like "Team-killing Ban"
I was kicked once before for team killing tonight, though I was just running around the map not even aiming, so I have no idea how this happened.
The first offence (helicopter team-kill), that I was made aware of by my friend and by the ban, was the first one that I was aware of and could have logically happened.
Will this ban expire over time, and if not, is there any chance at an appeal?
Thank you very much for your time, and for keeping servers free of hackers!
EDIT: When joining the server it does not show me the reason I was banned or give me a ban number (is that what its called?). Is there another way to find this?
Who knows, perhaps you landed your Helicopter on a rare plant and the environmental protection agency detected this ?
Joking apart now, you need to open a ban appeal if you are banned by GGC:
But if you are banned for teamkilling, looks like its a loc<al server ban and GGC has nothing to do with it, in this case you need to contact the server owner.
The special kick reason you usually find on the bottom of battlelog when you got kicked from a server.
